Helen Wesnes (b.1979) is a photographer and photojournalist based near Oslo. Photography has been a life long passion and in 2019 she established her own firm and started working as a freelance photographer. With a background as a former violinist she has a passion for concert photography. She currently works as an in house photographer for Resonans, an organisation that hosts concerts on both a national and international level in Norway.
Helen has a diverse background with a curiosity for sub cultures and marginalised groups. This interest has resulted in working on topics supporting human rights in the field of mental health and being invited to work for film companies in both a research and documentary capacity.
Helen has explored many topics in the field of photography. She has experience with nature, bird, street and travel photography among others, and has supplied content for newspapers, magazines, travel agencies, organisations and private customers. Her interest in sport photography has also led her to work for sport events and festivals both in Norway an Europe. Capturing the fleeting moments as they occur is what drives her work as a photojournalist and photographer. At the current time she is studying photojournalism at the university OsloMet where she hopes to further cultivate her skills.
